South Dunedin, Dunedin 9012

We want you for this workshop! Together we will develop an understanding and commitment to a city focus on collective action for responding to climate change. To achieve this, with expert help, we will explore and discuss:
1. the cascading climate challenges facing Dunedin,
2. the issues these raise and their consequences for Dunedin,
3. why collective action is needed to address them successfully,
4. the benefits that can come from collective action, and
5. what would be required to sustain collective action over time.
This workshop is supported by the Deep South Science Challenge and organised by the Blueskin Resilient Communities Trust, with support from Wise Response, Sustainable Dunedin City, Forest & Bird, Our Climate Declaration and Generation Zero. Together we will work towards a collective city response. The expert team includes:
- Andrew Tait (Principal Scientist NIWA)
- Judy Lawrence (Senior Research Fellow, NZ Climate Change Research Institute)
- Simon Cox (Principal Scientist and Structural Geologist, GNS Science)
- Mike Goldsmith (Risk Reduction Specialist)
- Mick Strack (Senior Lecturer, School of Surveying)
