Inequality of impact a concern

Research from the Deep South Science Challenge has confirmed what most expected: climate change will hit the most vulnerable the hardest.  The research, undertaken by University of Otago Associate Professor Lisa Ellis, warns that doing nothing in the face of the predictable impact of sea level rise will exacerbate existing inequalities.  The work adds to the growing evidence for the need to engage communities now, for action not inertia, and for government leadership and support in adaptation.
